How To Give A Foot Massage
Nothing is more relaxing than having your feet massaged at the end of a hard day at work. In fact, nothing feels as good as a foot massage at almost any point of the day. While almost everybody has tried their hands at massaging feet, professional salons take the experience to new heights. How do they do that? Try out some great new ways to give a great foot massage to someone you care about.
1. It is important to ensure a quiet, dark room with some soft music in the background. Too much noise or light distract the person from the massage and do not allow him to enjoy it as much.
2. Light some aromatic candles or just place a lot of fresh flowers to ensure that the room is full of sweet fragrance. Try throwing in some petals into a big bowl of water for the initial dip.
3. Clean the feet before you start. Unlike other body parts, feet accumulate a lot of dirt and sweat which needs to be removed thoroughly before the massage can begin. It is also very refreshing.
4. Use a good quality aromatic oil that spreads easily without the need for too much pressure. There are special foot creams that you can use in place of the oil.
5. Use a combination of various hand movements like kneading, rotating, scrubbing with increasing pressure on all parts of the foot and calf muscles.
Do it with love and patience. Never hurry. Try not to talk unless you need to check on the pressure. Let the person close his/her eyes and rest – It is a good idea to have a reclining chair on which the person can rest his/her head and even go off to sleep if they want to.
